You know your TikTok addiction is out of control when you find yourself singing "Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no" in the shower/in your car/at your desk/at every waking hour* (delete as applicable).

However, I see that 'quirk' as a small price to pay for the new found beauty knowledge I'm acquiring on a daily basis.

Like the acid exfoliator which is transforming people's skin, to the 8-second Wonder Water that works better than any hair mask I've ever used.

My latest find? The Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Colour Correcting Treatment, which is designed to cover redness whilst protecting and strengthening your skin.

You see redness is by far my biggest skincare concern. Like most of us this year, I have become accustomed to seeing my face sans makeup and I made the move to sheer/lightweight bases a few years ago.

On the whole, my skin is pretty clear and if it wasn't for this redness I would skip base products altogether, but my flushed cheeks, chin and nose mean it's not something I feel comfortable doing.

I also was born with a large red birthmark in the centre of my forehead. This has faded significantly over the years, but has left a red mark in-between my eyebrows that can be more prominent some days.

After seeing two of my friends (and the rest of my TikTok feed) see incredible results with this Dr Jart+ product, I was buzzing to finally get my hands on it.

The green cream might leave you with flashbacks to those teenage years experimenting with anti-redness primers, but don't let that put you off. I promise you won't end up looking like Fiona from Shrek.

First of all, a little goes a long way with this stuff and you massage it into you skin until it turns beige.

Rather than apply all over my face, I just applied to the areas I wanted to focus on. Which is why I would still recommend wearing a separate SPF with this, despite it already having SPF30.

What I loved is that it immediately toned down my redness, left no hint of Shrek behind and didn't look, or feel like I was wearing anything on my face.

The fact that this covers and treats my redness at the same time means it's definitely going to be my new 'no makeup, makeup' staple.

Once again, just goes to show that those hours spent on TikTok really are beneficial to my life.
